Thursday Flash Craft: Minor Talks Titles

Kyle Minor, in “Where I Get the Titles for My Stories and Essays,” begins thus:

“Special language from within the story, the King James Version, the taunts of small children, Shakespeare, place names, anger, Fleetwood Mac songs (an editor complained), college football bowl games, character names, hospital talk, quotations from my mother….”


As Minor continues and the list grows, one is left without any excuse at all for an untitled masterpiece.
