(Very) Short Fiction Piece Has the Chance for $25,000 Prize

I don’t know if you’ve heard, but Jim Ruland has some good news, both for himself and flash fiction. Jim Ruland entered the Reader’s Digest “You’re Life” contest. Long story short: Jim Ruland’s “Homeward Bound” was named an editor’s pick, and it’s in the running for some cash prizes. The caveat: “Homeward Bound’ has to be in top 100 votes to eligible.

Because we fell in love with Jim’s piece, FlashFiction.Net is trying to generate some interest in the story. Jim described “Homeward Bound” in this way: “as heartfelt as any piece of flash fiction or micro-memoir I’ve ever written.”

The story is here: https://apps.facebook.com/yourlifecontest/content/homeward-bound. If you like it, give it a vote. And nice work, Jim Ruland!
