It is the change in the
“animal” that now makes it seem like the world has become too warm. The feeling
comes and goes. Windows get opened; air conditioners get turned up. It isn’t
the world that’s changed. Give a character an environment that feels suddenly
too hot to handle. Make the character think the problem exists in the world.
What would make the character realize the truth of all stories, that the monster
lies within?
