Sunday's Micro Challenge from Richard Osgood at Zoetrope Virtual Studio--shawl, mascot, barrel, lithograph, esplanade--led to this fifty-word micro:
Anniversary
They walked along the esplanade, a gull as mascot, almost perched upon her shawl. She pointed the barrel of her umbrella at a far-off ship. A passerby remarked, "It's like a lithograph." They fled the scene, panicked, as if pursued by the imaginary artist seeking to etch them into stone.
